The Opportunity
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end payroll function across Australia and New Zealand.
Working as part of a high-performing payroll team, you'll help ensure payroll processes run smoothly while providing support to store teams, support office stakeholders and employees across the business. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute to payroll improvements, process optimisation and business-wide projects as we continue to grow.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Process weekly payroll activities across Australia and New Zealand
Review and maintain payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage payroll inbox enquiries and provide timely support to employees and managers
Complete payroll audits, reconciliations and reporting
Process employee commencements, changes and terminations
Prepare separation certificates and payroll-related documentation
Partner with People & Culture, Retail Operations and Finance stakeholders to resolve payroll queries
Support month-end and year-end payroll activities
Assist with payroll process improvements and systems enhancements
Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation, awards and company policies
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years' experience in a Payroll Officer or similar payroll position
Experience using Dayforce
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience using payroll and time & attendance systems
A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes
Retail industry experience and knowledge of the General Retail Industry Award and other relevant awards preferred but not essential
