THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Head of Studio to lead our in-house content production operation and drive the next evolution of our studio capability.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most critical functions within our Marketing team, overseeing the creation and delivery of high-volume ecommerce, social, campaign, and brand content for JD Sports ANZ.
Reporting to the APAC Marketing Director, you'll be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of our in-house studio, ensuring content is delivered at pace, on brand, and to the highest creative and commercial standards.
You'll lead a talented team across photography, videography, styling, and studio coordination while partnering closely with Marketing, Digital, Creative, and Brand stakeholders to ensure seamless execution across every touchpoint.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead & Develop
Inspire, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary studio team
Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performance culture
Drive capability building, succession planning and career development
Support Creative Excellence
Own the delivery of all still and motion content across ecommerce, social and campaign channels
Champion visual standards that align with global brand direction while delivering local relevance
Drive innovation across product imagery, social content and brand storytelling
Drive Operational Excellence
Optimise studio workflows to maximise efficiency and output
Manage studio scheduling, resource allocation and workload prioritisation
Oversee end-to-end production planning, timelines and delivery
Partner Across the Business
Act as the key connection between Studio, Marketing and Digital teams
Translate campaign briefs into actionable production plans
Ensure content is delivered on time, on brief and to agreed service levels
Manage Studio Infrastructure & Resources
Oversee studio equipment, maintenance and operational readiness
Lead studio upgrades, expansion projects and investment opportunities
Support budget forecasting, freelancer planning and cost management
Deliver Commercial Outcomes
Drive a commercially minded approach to studio operations
Improve efficiency, scalability and output quality
Contribute to the continued growth of the JD Sports ANZ business through exceptional content production
WHO YOU ARE
Essential Experience
5+ years' experience in studio operations, production management or resource planning
Proven success leading high-performing content, creative or production teams
Experience managing large-scale production schedules and competing priorities
Strong stakeholder management experience across Marketing, Digital and Creative functions
Previous responsibility for budget management and cost optimisation
Demonstrated experience improving workflows and scaling production operations
Skills & Attributes
Exceptional leadership and people development capability
Strong commercial acumen and operational mindset
Highly organised with outstanding planning and prioritisation skills
Able to balance speed, quality and resource allocation in a fast-paced environment
Calm under pressure with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
Passion for sport, fashion, youth culture and content creation is highly regarded
