THE ROLE
JD Sports is on the lookout for a Payroll Administrator to join our team on a 6-Month Contract. This role will collaborate with the Payroll Manager, handling administrative tasks to support the seamless operation of the payroll function.
To be successful in this position you ideally have previous experience using Dayforce.
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, this role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality
Assist with end-to-end weekly payroll processing using Dayforce
Monitor the payroll email inbox and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner
Action and review weekly payroll changes for weekly paid employees
Follow up with employees and management to obtain missing or supporting information as required
Work closely with key stakeholders, including Support Office, Store Managers, and Area Managers, to resolve payroll queries and provide reporting support as requested
Perform general database maintenance to ensure accuracy of employee records
Prepare and complete employee separation certificates
Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to reporting and reconciliations, as directed
Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience using Dayforce software preferred
Prior knowledge of General Retail Award, Storage and Services Award and Clerical Award advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
New Zealand payroll experience is advantageous
