THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our JD Sports ANZ People Team.

In this role, you’ll bring global JD Sports learning programs to life across Australia and New Zealand — tailoring content, delivering engaging sessions, and creating impactful development experiences for our teams.
You’ll partner with leaders, subject matter experts, and global colleagues to identify learning needs and deliver solutions across a range of formats, from in-person workshops to digital learning.

Please note: This role is based at our Sydney Support Office.
Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, this role is responsible for but not limited to:
Training Facilitation & Delivery
Deliver scalable training programs using blended methodologies to diverse and often remotely located learner groups
Facilitate engaging and effective in-person and virtual training sessions across all levels of the organisation
Deliver onboarding and induction programs for Retail Managers and Support Office employees
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in key areas (e.g., leadership development, compliance, systems training, etc.)
Adapt delivery style and content to suit diverse learning audiences and modalities
Content Design & Development
Develop instructional materials, including slide decks, facilitator guides, participant handbooks, and e-learning modules
Tailor existing learning content to meet evolving business needs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational objectives
Stakeholder Engagement & Needs Analysis
Partner with department heads, managers, and SMEs to assess training needs
Translate learning needs into impactful training solutions and delivery plans
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure continuous learning support
Learning Technology and Systems
Manage learning management system (LMS) and other platforms to ensure optimal user experience and efficient content delivery
Research and integrate innovative tools, technologies, and trends to enhance learning engagement
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
Certificate IV Training & Assessment, highly regarded
Experience managing Dayforce Learning or similar LMS
Proven ability to coordinate learning programs at scale, ensuring consistency and quality across multiple locations and teams.
Experience designing eLearning and blended learning solutions
Strong analytical skills to leverage data and insights for measuring program effectiveness and driving continuous improvement.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience delivering in-person training within Retail or like industry
